2010RoulotBlanc2010 Domaine Roulot, Bourgogne Blanc, White Burgundy, France.
This pretty and lively Chardonnay really hit the spot, I wish I could have got more of it myself, and I almost hate talking about such a rare wine as it is almost impossible to find, but I just adored it and for those of you that have it or can find it you’ll be very happy you did. This 2010 Bourgogne Blanc is pure and vivid with a lime and white peach start with hints of steel and matchstick before filling out with apple and lemon fruit and chalky wet stones on the youthful palate. With some air this White Burgundy shows off it’s class and origins with hazelnuts and flashes of clove and kiwi plus a golden fig note. The vibrant and racy acidity keeps things fresh and clean highlighting the precise focus and the talented touch that went into crafting this pleasing wine, making for an expectations beating effort from the famed Domaine Roulot.
