2010 Zepaltas, Pinot Noir “La Cruz Vineyard” Sonoma Coast.
The 2010 La Cruz Pinot from Ryan Zepaltas is sublime wine that will rock your world, with beautifully detailed fruit, divine perfume and wonderful balance, one of the best yet from Zepaltas. The nose has hints of violets and roses, along with mineral and currant like fruit leading to a fleshy palate of black cherry, mountain wild berries, strawberry and plum with touches of licorice, sweet tea, smoke, cola bean all support the wine in the background. A beautiful dark hue and lingering length add joy to mix while refined tannins and juicy acidity add structure and life. This wine is pure class, with clear focus and rich flavors, do not miss this one if you love Pinot Noir, it doesn’t get much better than this.
