This non-classified Chianti Classico from the hills of Radda in Chianti, Montevertine, is a tuscan masterpiece that is without question an Italian treasure! This firm and youthful Sangiovese storms the palate with blackberry, plum and red fruits while tobacco leaf, dried currants, mint and black licorice all play roles in this seductive wine. Montevertine is all organic estate that is dialed in to their terroir and vines to perfection, making some amazing wines over the years, but this 2009 is a classic and stunning wine that should drink fantastic for another decade. This richly flavored Sangiovese is so pure in Tuscany essence it can’t help but make you smile and it transports you there heart and soul.
