2010 Domaine des Muses, Petite Arvine Tradition, Dry White, Switzerland.
This is a very intriguing white from Swiss Domaine des Muses that shows a bouquet of flowers and sweet herbs leading to a palate of tangerine, peach, orange zest and lemon/lime with a round and giving texture in the mouth, while vibrant acidity sizzles away and keeps things fresh and exciting. There is mineral and tropical notes that come through with air and the finish is bright and crisply dry. Quality never comes cheap in Switzerland and this sublime artisan wine certainly costs a pretty penny, but it is unique and wonderfully crafted, so I can wholeheartedly recommend it without reservation. This is another great find by importer Charles Neal of San Francisco.
